Life is super busy and we cut corners to get everything done. I know personally my body needs 7 hours of sleep a day to function. There are times when you just need to spend that extra time at night when all is quiet and there aren't any interruptions to just do what you want. I know I do that way too much and I pay for it the next day.
What we don't realize is how important it is for our bodies to get the right amount of sleep. After a week of insufficient sleep it will alter our activity of our genes which controls our response to stress, immunity, inflammation and overall health.
